American Express Italia conferma di aver ricevuto un rapporto al termine di un’ispezione da parte della Banca d’Italia.
American Express Italia sta quindi realizzando un aggiornamento dei propri sistemi informativi e procedure per aderire ancora più strettamente alla normativa applicabile ai prestatori di servizi di pagamento e agli intermediari finanziari in Italia.
American Express Italia sospenderà temporaneamente l’emissione di nuove carte a partire dal 12 aprile 2010, e riprenderà ad emettere le carte non appena tale aggiornamento sarà completato, come stabilito dalla Banca d’Italia.
American Express Italia ha già iniziato ad esaminare i contenuti del rapporto e sta cooperando pienamente con la Banca d’Italia con l’obiettivo di risolvere le questioni aperte.
La sospensione non riguarda gli attuali clienti di American Express Italia, che possono continuare ad utilizzare le loro carte regolarmente.
American Express acknowledges it has received a report following an inspection from the Bank of Italy.As a result, the Company is currently implementing an upgrade of its information technology systems and other procedures, in order to adhere more closely to the regulations applicable to payments service providers and financial intermediaries.
American Express Italy will temporarily suspend issuance of new cards from April 12th and will resume card issuance as soon as these upgrades are completed, as established by the Bank of Italy.
American Express has already begun to address the issues raised in the report, and is cooperating fully with the Bank of Italy in an effort to resolve the matter.
This suspension does not affect American Express’ existing Cardmembers, who can continue to use their cards as usual.
